The Samsung Galaxy range of smartphones is expanding all the time
with devices that cover a huge amount of price brackets and features,
and today we have news of the Samsung Galaxy Y Plus that is due to
release in India soon.
Samsung has put the handset up on its official website in India, and
it seems to be the successor to the hugely popular Galaxy Y and Galaxy
Pocket handsets. The new smartphone again has the option of running dual
SIM cards, and other features include a 2.8-inch touchscreen display
with a resolution of 240 x 320.
The device is powered by an 850MHz processor running the Android Ice
Cream Sandwich operating system with 4GB of on board storage that can be
expanded by another 32GB via a microSD card. There is also Wi-Fi 802.11
b/g/n 2.4GHz, 3G, Bluetooth, and EDGE/GPRS connectivity.
It also has an FM radio, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a 2-megapixel
rear facing camera while the 1,200 mAh battery is promised to provide up
to 350 minutes of 3G talk time and 260 hours of standby. Currently
there is no information regarding the pricing or the availability of the
Samsung Galaxy Y Plus, but it should be priced somewhere between the
RS. 6,000 to 8,000 mark.
