Galaxy Note 2 vs Droid DNA make up your mind time

There’s no doubt about it, two of the hottest smartphones right now are the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the HTC Droid DNA. The Galaxy Note 2 has been a huge hit and is now available on all of the major US carriers. The Droid DNA has only just been released on Verizon but already looks set to be another big seller. Today we’re looking at the Galaxy Note 2 vs. Droid DNA and it’s make your mind up time.

We think this holiday season many of our readers will be trying to make a choice between these two smartphones. We have pitted both of these large-screened phones against each other before but this time we would like some solid answers from our readers as to which you think is best and would prefer to be in your possession, and of course why? We won’t detail all of the specs of each handset again as you can read all about that in our previous post here.
Both the Galaxy Note 2 and the Droid DNA have a huge amount to offer and while both phones are LTE-equipped the Galaxy Note 2 also has the bonus of the S Pen stylus. The key areas of difference though, mainly come down to the display resolution, internal storage and battery capacity. For instance if the main thing you look for in a phone is a great display then the Droid DNA might be your choice with 441ppi as opposed to the 267ppi of the Galaxy Note 2.
If internal storage is more important to you though then you are likely to choose the Note 2 with 16, 32 or 64GB storage options, expandable via microSD while the Droid DNA only has 16GB of internal storage (11GB user available) and this is non-expandable. The Note 2 wins on battery capacity too with a 3100 mAh battery while the Droid DNA has a 2020 mAh battery. It could even be weight that is your deciding factor as the Droid DNA weighs in at 141.7g while the Galaxy Note 2 is decidedly heftier at 183g.
Price-wise the Galaxy Note 2 is around $299 on the usual two-year contract while the Droid DNA is $199 on contract and that’s another significant difference to take into account. Both handsets have pros and cons then, but when it comes down to it, which are the really crucial things to you? Maybe it’s the finer points that might seem inconsequential to some that will be the reason why you choose one over the other? Our commenting area is awaiting your final decision. Which do you prefer? The Galaxy Note 2 or Droid DNA?
